Kathy Stecko 

Kathy Stecko is a ceramic sculptor – her current body of work is a series of porcelain figures that distort and exaggerate the body. Using a combination of glazes, paints and found or fabricated objects; each figure creates a personal narrative. Stecko is the recipient of the Avery Hopwood Award, Traub Grant and a 2-month artist residency at Sculpture Space. 

Most recently her work has been exhibited at L’SPACE Gallery, PAN Amsterdam, MANA Contemporary, IBIS Gallery, and The Grand Rapids Art Museum. Stecko earned her B.F.A from The University of Michigan and an M.F.A from The New York Academy of Art.
