Ronit Porat

Ronit Porat was born in 1975 in Kibbutz Kfar Giladi, Israel. Shestudied at theChelsea School of Art and Design in London and holds a degree in photography and digital media from Hadassah College, Jerusalem. Her work has been widely exhibited in Israel and Europe, including solo exhibitions at Kölnische Stadtmuseum, Cologne (2019); Tel Aviv Museum of Art (2018); Museum Van Loon, Amsterdam (2017); Herzliya Museum, Israel (2017). Porat’s newly released book, Hunting in Time (Sternthal Books), comprehensively surveys her work over the past decade. She has been shortlisted for the prestigiousParis Photo–Aperture First Book Award. Porat has received numerous awards, including theLauren and Mitchell Presser Photography Award for a Young Israeli Artist (2017) and the Artis Project Grant (2016).

She has participated in artist residencies worldwide, 

including Hotel Pupik (Austria), SVA Summer Residency (New York), Castrum Peregrini (Amsterdam), and The Jakob and Emma Windler Foundation (Switzerland). Her work is held in collections at theTel Aviv Museum of Art, Kölnische Stadtmuseum, Van Loon Museum in Amsterdam, and various private collections.
